Business School's Proposed Case Center - Preliminary Meeting

A preliminary meeting was chaired by Associate Dean (Academics), Dr. Hassan Rauf to deliberate on the orientation and objectives of a proposed Case Center to be established under school’s umbrella. The case center is being envisaged aggressively to impart industry inclusiveness to the programs being offered by UCP Business School and enrich school’s applied research portfolio. Attendees of this meeting included faculty members having motivation for applied research and relevant professional experience. In the initial phase, after inception of the Center, the team will focus on two export oriented industrial sectors: Pharmaceuticals and Garments/Textiles. Subsequent to the attainment of intended deliverables in the initial phase, new sectors and clusters will be explored. The participants enthusiastically laid out a tentative modus operandi in terms of extending outreach to the industry which is a prerequisite for meaningful and outcome driven applied research efforts.
