Guest Speaker Session on Four Principles of Clear Writing

A session was conducted by Jeremy Hawbaker on the “Four Principles of Clear Writing”. Currently, he is serving as a lecturer and coordinator of the Writing Center at the Forman Christian College, Lahore. He received his Master’s degree from University of Dakota, USA. Right now, he is pursuing his PhD degree from University of Zurich, Switzerland, Germany; specializing in the Syntax of Shina Language. In his session, he engaged the students in reading and paraphrasing excerpts.

Later, he summarized the crisp rules to produce the effective and clear writing.  Session was attended by the faculty members of the English department and a large number of BS and M.Phil. students. They exhibited their interactive role during the session. Session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Farhat Abdullah.  At the end of the session, Dr. Fehmida Sultana, Dean FASS, presented flowers and souvenir to Jeremy Hawbaker and thanked him for giving his valuable time to the students of English department.
