M.Phil. Pharmacy (Pharmacology)
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Central Punjab has focused its intense devotion in developing graduate and post-graduate research laboratories. This degree will raise a sense of research in graduate students and they will be able to perform multiple tasks in public and private sector organizations:
- Research in different fields of Pharmacology at national and international levels
- Teaching in postgraduate pharmaceutical and medical sciences institutes
- R&D in Pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Pharmacist / Pharmacologist in Drugs Testing Laboratories (DTLs)
- Public and private hospitals as a clinical pharmacist
- Bioassay techniques
Above all, they will have sound knowledge in the field of Pharmacology. They may publish their data, which will not only strengthen the profile of a student, but also the impact of research in Pakistan.

Admission Criteria
Admission Requirements
- Pharm. D or B. Pharm from HEC & PCP recognized institutions minimum 2.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 50% marks in annual system
- All applicants are required to pass the UCP Admission Test with a 50% score or the GRE/HAT General/equivalent test with a passing score of 50% followed by an interview by the Graduate Admission Committee
Degree Requirements
A student admitted in this programme will have to complete the degree requirements by following any one of the options given below:- 24 Cr. Hrs. course work with 6 Cr. Hrs. Thesis
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50 on the scale of 4.00
Prospects
This is nominally a two-year degree programme comprising of 04 semesters. There is a Fall and a Spring semester in each year. The maximum duration to complete the programme is 4 years.
