Ali Ahmad earned his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore, Pakistan, in 2012. He then pursued an M.Sc. in Electrical (Power) Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, graduating in 2015. He further advanced his academic career by completing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore in 2023.
Ali began his professional journey at the Faculty of Engineering, UCP, as a Teaching Assistant in November 2012. Over the years, he has risen to the position of Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at UCP, Lahore.
Specializing in Electric Power Engineering, Ali is recognized for his impactful research in areas such as Energy Efficiency, Economics of Power Systems, Electricity Market Operations, VSC-MTDC Optimization, and power system studies using PSCAD/EMTDC, E-TAP, and PSS/E software.
In addition to his research, Dr. Ali is actively involved in administrative roles, serving as the Incharge of SAR EE, a member of the OBE committee, and more. He also plays a significant role in global conferences. An active IEEE member, he notably served as the Track & Registration Chair at the IEEE 25th International Multi-Topic Conference (INMIC) 2023 and HITE 2024.
