Assistant Professor, Microbiology

Dr. Arslan Sarwar earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from University of the Punjab. He completed his pre-doc at University of Freiburg, Germany. He is an Erasmus Fellow (USC, Spain), Robert S. McNamara World Bank Fellow (UMaine, USA) and Health Security Partners Fellow (USA). He recently participated in fully funded international congress like ECCMID arranged at Vienna, Austria and FEMS at Valencia, Spain. His research interests are focused on characterization of multiple drug resistant Salmonella and Streptomyces pathogens and purification of rare antibiotics from Streptomyces by using HPLC, HRMS, GC-MS, 1-D and 2-D NMR studies.
