Dr. Huma Hameed

Dr. Huma Hameed is working as Assistant Professor in Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FOPS) at UCP, Lahore. She holds PhD from the University of Rennes 1, Rennes, France with specialization in Pharmaceutical Sciences. For PhD, she secured a fully-funded faculty development scholarship by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. Her research work was Investigations of novel therapeutics for treatment of acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis and liver cancer. She obtained her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics with First Position (4/4 cGPA) from University of Sargodha, Sargodha, Pakistan. During her Masters, she conducted research on Ionized crosslinked nanoparticles of 6- Mercaptopurine Formulation and in-vitro characterization. She was graduated in Pharmacy (Pharm-D) from GC University Faisalabad. She also gained, first position in Pharm-D (Batch 2007-2012) of GCUF and won Gold medal in her batch. She has been a member of some of the highly ranked research groups in France like INSERM (Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale is the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research) and IRSET (Institut de recherche en santé, environnement et travail). She has presented her work in international conferences and has also published in impact factor journals (100+ impact factor now). In Pakistan, she has been educated in institutes like University of Sargodha, Sargodha (on BPS-18 scale) and Lahore Pharmacy College (A Project of LMDC). She is a profound professional having community pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and industrial pharmacy as well as national and international research experience. Her area of interest includes: Novel therapeutics, Targeted Drug Delivery, Drug Designing, Nanotechnology, In vivo animal trials, Acute and Chronic Hepatitis (NASH). She also has expertise in the implementation of modern teaching practices like activity and software based learning in Education & Assessment System and has also provided trainings to her undergrad students.
