Dr. Muhammad Aslam is Associate Professor of English (Linguistics) at Department of English, FOLL, University of Central Punjab, Lahore. He holds a PhD degree in English Linguistics from International Islamic University, Islamabad. He did his MPhil from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, with a distinction of Gold Medal. Before joining University of Central Punjab in October, 2023, he taught at the Department of ELT & Linguistics, University of the Punjab, Lahore, for 22 years. His special interest in research is SFL-Based Genre Theory & its applications and his teaching interests include Generative Syntax, Descriptive Syntax, Functional Syntax, and Morphology. Besides teaching MS and PhD classes, he is member on different departmental committees, which include UCP QEC Committee for MS & PhD Linguistics. Dr. Aslam is also supervising research work of MS and PhD scholars enrolled at UCP. He has 14 publications in Y category journals, two in W category journals, and two manuscripts under review in W category journals (submitted in 2024).
