Dr. Sumera Zaib from the Faculty of Science and Technology has won a research project worth Rs 4.65 Million from Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF). The project titled “Harnessing the Untapped Therapeutic Potential of Phthalazine Scaffold as Small-molecule Inhibitors of Ectonucleotidases for the Treatment of Diabetic Complications”.
She is one of the internationally acclaimed leading researchers at UCP. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology, appreciated Dr. Sumera Zaib for winning the research project through a competitive process, assuring her full support in its execution. Dr. Nassar Ikram, Pro-Rector, UCP, congratulated the Dean and Dr. Sumera Zaib for securing the project. It would advance research, international linkages, and collaborations to create a societal impact for UCP.
