Dr. Mahtab Ahmad Khan completed his B.Pharm and M.Phil. at BZU Multan. He took advantage of the HEC-Overseas scholarship in 2011 and obtained his doctorate in the field of Pharmacology from the University of Lübeck, Germany. He published his research data in credible national and international research journals, and attended number of national & international conferences. He has more than 17 years of professional experience, and international partnerships in research. Neuroscience, particularly immune cells and their migration into the brain under ischemic stroke after stroke, is of major research interest. Dr. Khan has supervised 2 PhDs and 10 M.Phil. research projects. He is specialist in developing mouse epilepsy, permanent stroke model (MCAO), Parkinson’s disease and brain glioblastoma models for pre-clinical research. He has expertise of rodent behavior research, immune staining, fluorescence & confocal microscopy, cryosectioning and flow cytometry.
