Rashid Hussain is currently working as Team Lead English-I in English Language Centre; and has a four-year career as a proactive teacher with great focus on research and modern pedagogies. He has completed his MPhil (Applied Linguistics) from the University of Management and Technology, Lahore. In addition to his experience as a lecturer in various universities, he has contributed well in the field of linguistics and language teaching by presenting his rigorous researches in seven international conferences; and by compiling a book on academic writing and research mechanics. His researches mainly focus on meta-discourses, socio-cognitive patterns and diachronic changes in different languages. More importantly, he has introduced ‘Discourse Effectivity Theory’ which has been used as a theoretical underpinning in two of the academic researches. Not only, he has been a vigilant researcher but also served as an evaluator and translator (for research articles in/on Saraiki language) in an international conference – a Free Language Conference held at Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil in 2019. Furthermore, to make his pedagogical practices more effective, he believes in learning about new teaching strategies as well as new languages based upon demographical variations.
